Electrical Engineering Technician-Designer (3 positions)

Genetics is offering positions for electrical engineering design technicians. Calling all motivated individuals looking to specialize: we focus our expertise on niche projects in hydroelectric power plants and high and very high voltage substations (switchgear/control and protection systems).

HERE'S THE PROFILE WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• 3 positions available: 0-2 years of experience, 3-5 years of experience, and 5-10 years of experience;
• Hold a college diploma in electrical engineering or any other relevant field (instrumentation, electrotechnics, etc.);
• Be curious, have a real thirst for learning and developing in the field of hydroelectricity;
• Know (or have a strong interest in knowing) the role and characteristics of the equipment in an electrical substation;
• Know (or have a strong interest in knowing) the basic rules for assembling and installing electrical equipment and those for creating wiring diagrams;
• Advantage: knowledge of the basic rules for creating 2D/3D drawings, calculation books, and quotes specific to supply and installation;
• Advantage: ability to assess the costs of different jobs as well as the risks associated with electrical installations;
